OLIVE PRESS HOTEL - MOLYVOS
Molivos (or Mithymna) at the northern tip of Lesvos is arguably the most beautiful village of Lesvos (Lesbos) island in Greece with its picturesque harbour dominated by the castle and tiers of red-tiled stone houses climbing up the slopes away from the blue sea. At night, the flood lit castle turns the town into one of the most romantic places on earth.
Molivos through the years has retained its traditional character: numerous manor-houses, with stone-paved lanes and an old flee market, covered with plants that overgrow smelling in spring and offering their shade during the summer heat.
Locals are hospitable, kind and keen to be of any help to you when required.
The association with Arts is appropriate enough, for it was here in Molivos that the head of Orpheus is said to have been washed ashore after his dismemberment of the Thracian women. Another mythical citizen of Mithymna was the lyric poet and musician Arion. It has been said that he has been saved by a music-loving dolphin.
Here is where you'll find our (this newly renovated) hotel, at the beachfront of the Main Beach that has been awarded, by the EU, the Blue Flag for its crystal clear waters.
A former oil mill that has been converted to a hotel with its tall chimney as its trademark.
The comfortable and spacious rooms, arranged around an inner stone paved-court, have their own bath and WC, telephone, music and air-conditioning.
In addition, the independent studios & apartments are equipped with refrigerator and kitchen.
An excellent (everybody's favorite for its quality & prices) Restaurant , a Bar, a Cafeteria, a Beach bar (the busiest spot of the town during the day), a swimming pool, water sports and all modern facilities are at your disposal for fantastic holidays here in our beautiful island of Lesvos.
